The Graduate Medical Education Office is committed to providing a high quality, collegial educational experience for all residents. As part of this mission, we provide a comprehensive Resident Orientation for all incoming interns that is designed to prepare residents with the fundamentals and essentials to “hit the ground running” on their first clinical day. The orientation is a combination of dynamic and interactive classroom presentations, small and large group discussions, and simulation.
The orientation is separated into the following components:
- Hospital Orientation
- GME Orientation
- Department Day
- BLS, ACLS and PALS offered as needed
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Course (Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine and General Surgery)
- Clinical Documentation and Computer Training
