da Vinci Surgical System

The latest technology in minimally invasive procedures is the da Vinci(R) Surgical System. This state-of-the-art robotic system enhances the capabilities of surgeons for a series of complex surgeries, such as gallbladder removal, colon resection, hysterectomies and prostatectomies. The robot has three surgical arms that have been engineered to precisely mimic the movement of the surgeon's fingers, wrists and hands. The robot can only be controlled by the surgeon while the surgeon sits at the console. Its enhanced high-definition 3D vision helps the surgeon see tissue planes in three dimensions, as the human eye would see it, to enable a more precise surgical technique..
