Our neurologists, neurosurgeons and other neurological care team members work together to provide comprehensive nervous system care for adults and children.

Pediatric neurological care

Our neurological specialists also provide diagnostics, treatments and other services for pediatric neurological diseases and disorders. They are here to answer your questions and help you feel secure and well-informed about your child's condition and care.

Our team will work with you and your family to determine the most effective plan of care for your little one. Additionally, our pediatric department includes the services of a child life specialist who focuses on helping children feel safe and comfortable in the hospital environment.

Stroke treatment

We are proud to provide multiple locations for stroke care in the Miami-Dade County community — at our hospital's on-campus emergency room (ER) and at our two freestanding emergency care facilities, HCA Florida Doral Emergency and HCA Florida Town & Country Emergency.

All of our emergency locations have specialists equipped to treat both ischemic strokes and hemorrhagic strokes. Additionally, our hospital is recognized as a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center by The Joint Commission as well as a Comprehensive Stroke Center by Det Norske Veritas (DNV).

Neurosurgery

We provide patients access to a comprehensive neurosurgery program. Our neurosurgeons perform traditional neurosurgery as well as minimally invasive, robotic and micro-neurosurgical procedures. With access to state-of-the-art medical technology, our neurological surgeons perform advanced procedures for:

  • Brain surgery
  • Neurotrauma surgery
  • Spine surgery

Neurological rehabilitation

Through our physical therapy and rehabilitation department, we can rehabilitate patients with brain, nervous system and/or spine diagnoses. Our neurological rehabilitation team is experienced in providing rehabilitative care for patients with a range of neurological conditions, including multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease and stroke.
